This is an old song already, and all the buzz on these guys is about their new album, which I've been really into lately. But there's a sort of unbridled passion and total intensity in this performance that gives me goosebumps: The Arcade Fire - Rebellion (Lies) on the Much Music Awards.

Smells Mellow: low-key, slower songs with a quiet vibe
Pungent Indie Rock: faster and louder, but usually thoughtful and melodic
Heavier Aromas: more distortion, with metal and punk influences behind the melody
That's Just Rank: successful sonic experiments you probably won't like at first

I'm going to need WAY more convincing re: Arcade Fire. Who knows? I'll likely be humming it the next morning, and then I'll be hooked.
It's one of those bands with songs I strongly dislike and songs I like a lot...if you took a mix of the best six songs from each of their last two albums, it would be pure gold. The other album (worst six songs off each) would be barely listenable.
